ABC of Life by Anthony Borgia

Postby Geoff » Tue Nov 25, 2014 6:06 am

As I have obtained a copy of this 1945 book, I can confirm that it has a different preface to the later 1959 republication under the title: Here and Hereafter. In this 1945 preface reference is made to two books (BEYOND THIS LIFE and THE WORLD UNSEEN ) forming a trilogy. It is very likely that when I get my hands on both of these, they will prove to be identical to the two later books "Life in the World Unseen" and "More about Life in the World Unseen".

I will very likely create an ebook of this ABC of Life as I believe it is free of copyright.

Dear Manny,

There is quite a big difference in the content of the Kardec works and the others, and especially Padgett. Enjoy however and take what you find and ignore the rest,

Hugs

I believe i have read all the Borgia books. Perhaps, as Geoff advises, some have been retitled. I believe there were 5, or 6 of them. One was called More Truth and there was one either titled, or about The Visitor, which uses the analogy of a man going on a long awaited holiday (death), before which he goes to a travel agency (Church), seeking information about the destination, yet he finds they know very little anr even that knowledge is wrong. The Borgia books prepared me very nicely for the Padgett Messages.

Thank you Geoff. My memory of there being 6 books was correct. More Truth = More Light.
The story of The Tourist is in one of the latter ones. A remarkable series of books, which back in the day when I read them, before I discovered Padgett, I thought they may have been inspired by Emanuel Swedenborg.

Have you come across Rev George Vale Owens? I now rate those the best outside of Padgett.

I think you are referring to this book:

More Light
by Anthony Borgia.
This book was first published in 1947 and reprinted in 1995. This book is also of a religious nature, and covers Orthodoxy, Miracles, Burials, Creeds, and the “average person”. This last chapter feels somewhat artificial as it chronicles a supposed search for truth about life after death by enquiring of a typical church. However the book as a whole is another comprehensive demolition of orthodox Christianity.

Thanks for clarifying Geoff. I'll hunt down the works of Reverend Owens.
I'm currently finishing The Samuels messages (old testament semons by Jesus) and started on the Richards Messages. I dont want to run out of reading material lol!

I bought the 5-volume series of George Vale Owen today. Not too badly priced, on Amazon.
