I can't recall who recommended this book to me. Its a book by a catholic priest, now passed over, and his dark night of the soul. It has a raw honesty, and a very uniquely expressed journey. This is not someone who has read the dozens of popular texts around this subject, this was his own journey, sometimes expressing opinions at variance (IMHO) with the Truth, and later correcting those as he came to a better place of understanding. And if the book has a value, it is this undiluted personal expression and search for meaning.
However I hoped to find one of two things. That he discovered a real inner voice, or that he discovered he could physically feel Father's Love. The title suggests as much, but after half way I started skimming, and I don't think he actually discovered either of those things. Or if he did, he could not write about them and remain within the Catholic Church as a priest.
