I heard the owl call my name

Margaret Craven wrote her first novel, this book, a best seller, at the age of 69. This was in 1973. Its a lovely book. Perhaps it does not have the depth of insight into North American Native Indian perspectives and beliefs that is found in "The Education of Little Tree", but for all that, a great book. Its the story of a young cleric who does not know he has a terminal disease (cancer?) and is sent to this remote Indian village to see out his few years.

Love commands the universe. Man only resorts to control when love is missing.
